THE WAshington LGBTQ+ SURVEY
Just in time for Pride month, a Washington State University-led team will launch A comprehensive survey of the state’s LGBTQ+ residents.
The purpose of the survey is to hear concerns from the LGBTQ+ community and increase state officials’ understanding of the community’s demographics and geographic distribution.
Our research team is not only familiar with LGBTQ+ culture and history, we are trusted members of the queer community in Washington. We hope to hear from as many LGBTQ+ residents as possible over the next 7 months, especially rural, Two-Spirit, undocumented, and justice-impacted LGBTQ+ Washingtonians.
Those who complete the survey will have a chance to win one of over 300 $50 gift cards in appreciation for your time and input.
Washington is home to many experiences. Our survey is open to everyone. We're committed to accessibility. If you need accommodations or assistance to participate in the survey, please let us know. Your feedback is important to us. We are at contact@lgbtq.wa.gov.
…and share with your LGBTQ+ friends and family!

Thank you for being part of our community. Your completion of this survey is invaluable and deeply appreciated.

OUR sponsor
Thank you to the Washington STATE LGBTQ Commission
for sponsoring this survey and giving LGBTQ+ Washingtonians the opportunity to voice their concerns and provide important information for state officials as they work to improve the lives of LGBTQ+ individuals and families.
The LGBTQ Commission is a state agency with an advisory board of 15 commissioners who identify as part of the LGBTQ community in the state. Each commissioner is appointed by the Governor and serves a three-year term. Commissioners represent the wealth of experiences and diversity of the LGBTQ community in Washington and come from different parts of the state. Four members of the State Legislature, one from each chamber and each political caucus also serve as legislative advisors. The LGBTQ Commission mission is to improve the government's interface with the LGBTQ community, identifying the needs of its members, and ensuring that there is an effective means of advocating for LGBTQ equity in all aspects of state government (RCW 43.114).
